A few weeks ago the NVIDIA Shield TV was contemplated with a firmware update. The news made the owners excited, but they were disappointed to see that the system remained with Android 7 Nougat.
Something similar happened with the Xiaomi setup box, Mi Box, which currently runs Marshmallow in a stable version and Nougat (Beta) , without forecast when (or if) it will receive an update for Android Oreo.
But from what it seems, both gadgets may be about to receive Android Oreo, seeing that both were demonstrated in the MWC18 running the new version of the green robot system, which should bring an interface similar to the one shown in the following video:
Both NVIDIA Shield TV and Xiaomi Mi Box are the most popular products currently running the AndroidTV platform.
The arrival of a new interface and features will bring the user experience with the system to an even more interesting level.
In addition, the availability of a new system version reiterates the commitment of both brands to their products (and customers), especially NVIDIA, seeing that the original Sheild TV debuted in May 2015, that is, it already has almost three years .
For Mi Box, there is already a Beta available on the internet (but it is far from having a satisfactory use experience, so we do not even recommend installing).
