In this small tutorial, we will see how to solve the “98%” error problem when playing PUBG Mobile in the Tencent Gaming Buddy emulator on the PC. A simple mistake, easy to solve, but I’ve seen a lot of people hitting head on the internet.
How is the error of PUBG Mobile 98%?
The error happens when starting the game Mobile PUBG in the emulator Tencent Gaming Buddy, the emulator simply hangs at 98%.
Investigating, I realized that the emulator did not even download the game and still try to start it. Tencent Gaming Buddy tries to start the game and he has not even downloaded it yet. Hence, the error screen.
What is the solution?
The error consists of the temporary folder of the emulator. Your location will depend on the path where you installed the emulator. To locate the temporary folder, click the three dashes in the upper right corner of the screen and click “diagnosis.”
In SD, locate where the temporary folder is.
In Windows File Explorer, go to the location where the temporary folder is located and delete it.
Okay, now just restart the emulator so it will download the game properly. At the end of the download click on “Play” to start the game.
If you click “cancel” unintentionally and delete the PUBG Mobile from Tencent Gaming Buddy, simply start again the installer of the emulator that it will start downloading the game.
