You are in PUBG Mobile Lite testing. The Android game is not yet available for Brazil, but we tested it firsthand, and as it does the wardrobe, on a very old cell phone. Check out our impressions about the game.
PUBG Mobile Lite in MotoG 1st generation (2013)
The first question that comes to mind is whether PUBG Mobile Lite is as light as Free Fire? The answer is no. Although LightSpeed & Quantum Studio struggled, the game is still heavier than Free Fire.
PUBG Mobile Lite is the reduced version of PUBG Mobile. It is the same game, but with fewer players online and smaller map. There are only 40 players in a 2 × 2 km area.
We tested the Lite version as it sent the costume. No testing the game on a powerful smartphone. If they say it’s for input devices, we test it on a Moto G1 (2013) “warrior” we have around here.
The game weighs about 250 MB and when installed is 339 MB.
“Is it as light as Free Fire?”
The first question that comes to mind is whether PUBG Mobile Lite is as light as Free Fire. The answer is no. Although he struggled, the game is still heavier than Free Fire.
Both Free Fire and Crossfire Legends (which is from Tencent as well) are lighter. PUBG Mobile Lite suffered to run in the Moto G1, the game presenting several “gouts”.
On a newer device (Galaxy S4) all three games appear to have the same performance. But when running on a very old device, it is clear that PUBG Mobile Lite still does not beat Free Fire in the “lightness” category.
Are the graphics as beautiful as the full version?
In the Lite version of PUBG Mobile, developers saved everything they could afford. The game has tiny textures, which get blurred almost all the time.
The structures, vehicles and characters clearly lost some polygons. Everything to see if it improved performance.
Do not even dream about real-time lighting effects and shadows. To tell you the truth, the game does not even have graphic adjustment. It always comes “at a minimum”.
Does the game run on the same “Normal” PUBG Mobile servers?
No! PUBG Mobile Lite is another game. When you start, the player starts a new account, even if they enter the data for the old version. This may change in the future, but the most likely scenario is that Lite players continue on a separate server.
Who Serves PUBG Mobile Lite?
In my opinion, PUBG Mobile Lite is for those who did not have the slightest chance to play the full version. Who owns a smartphone with 1 GB of RAM or very old device (2014) with 2GB of RAM.
The version exists only to appear on Google Play from whom PUBG Mobile as incompatible. Maybe this person will not download a competitor, like Free Fire, instead of PUBG. It’s an interesting attempt. But Tencent itself has already succeeded in bringing the Battle Royale experience to these handsets with Crossfire Legends.
