Thanks to Photos Companion, a new Microsoft app, you can easily transfer images from your smartphone to your PC in seconds.
We are always looking for efficient ways to transfer photos and videos from our Android devices to PCs and find in Photos Companion a very simple method. This app from Microsoft Garage, the experimental applications testing suite of the Redmond company, will help us to quickly get pictures of our smartphones and tablets to the computer. We explained how to make this transfer very easily.
Transfer photos from your smartphone to your computer
Although the process of imaging is awfully simple, we’ll need a couple of things for this content download to run: a Windows 10 computer and both devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network. So, we just need to open the Windows 10 Photos program to get started.
At this point, we will have to activate an option called Preview. To get into the Photos settings, we’ll have to tap on the three dots in the upper right corner, so we’ll have to enable “Help Microsoft test mobile import through the Wi-Fi feature. ” This will allow us to start the process of sending photos.
We will return to the Photos main screen and then click “Import”. In the new floating menu we will choose the last available option: “From mobile through Wi-Fi”.
A new window will ask us to scan the QR code that appears so we can connect our smartphone to the PC. It’s time to get the Android terminal.
After opening Photos Companion, which can be downloaded by Google Playstore with no region locking problems, we will have to scan the QR code that appears on the computer monitor screen. Once this is done, we can select all the images that we want to move from the smartphone or tablet to the PC and touch “Done” .
Sending files is very fast and in a matter of seconds we will have already passed all the images. A screen will tell us that the process is finished . And then we can repeat the process if we want to pass more photos and videos.
Upon returning to the computer, we will be able to observe how all images have been transferred correctly. The Windows 10 Photos app will have created a folder with the day on which this audiovisual content was sent . And everything will be stored in our computer to be used as we want.
