Although the original version is already available, we can already use Hangouts Chat, a variant of Google’s messaging tool focused on business.
A few months ago Google announced its intentions to separate its instant messaging service into two strands. Hangouts Chat is the variant for the business scope that has just been launched and is intended to be an alternative to Slack for group interaction and content diffusion between members. Its use is by companies that have the G Suite package.
Although the original Hangouts app is available, this variant has just come into circulation both as an Android app and as a web service. Similar to other applications within its scope with Slack and Microsoft Teams. That is, easy management of workgroups, document submission, and integration with external services (obviously focused on the rest of Google’s tools). We can also filter through rooms, participate in both individual and group chats or organize meetings to associate with our events calendar.
The app is fully compatible with the existing version of Hangouts, which almost seems to be drifting when it can not make a more consolidated sense. It is now being released in several countries and should soon be officially available. For now we can install via APK.
