Gmail Go is the new, reduced version of Google’s excellent email manager. A Lite app where we will find only small differences compared to traditional Gmail.
The gradual roll-in of Google’s apps runs its course and now we can enjoy Gmail Go. The email manager received a very interesting Lite version as there is virtually no difference from the original app and takes up half the space.
Gmail joins Google Go, Files Go and other smaller versions that come to occupy a prime position in terminals that rely on Android 8.1. This email manager is great news for those who have terminals with less power since it is an app that does not reach 10MB. The 20MB of traditional Gmail is also not excessive, but every economy is always welcome.
If we compare the two versions of Gmail we have to say that they are similar to the point of being difficult to differentiate one from the other . We can do the same number of tasks and only notice small remnants of differences in the smallest details: we will not see the photo of Google Plus in the different accounts that we are identified and we can not see the profile picture of the senders. Practically insignificant details for most users.
Gmail Go is an excellent email manager with which we will perform the same as we do with the traditional Gmail app . All this at half the size, shaking again the list of Android Go apps we are discovering. I mean, it is necessary to have a terminal with Android 8.1 to use, so it is likely that many users will be without it. We hope Google extends this type of application to other Android so that everyone can take advantage of the possibilities.
