Dustoff Heli Rescue 2 is a game inspired by the classic helicopter game Choplifter III. Available on Google Play, the game is offline and very easy to play.
Everyone who had a Super Nintendo (SNES) in the 90’s probably had contact with a famous 8-in-1 tape. Among consecrated games like Top Gear, Super Mario World and others, was Choplifter III, a game of war helicopters that will come to becomes a classic.
The producer of Choplifter III, Beam Software no longer exists (it ended in 2000), so all we can expect is a spiritual successor, and he is here and his name is Dustoff 2.
The missions are very similar to those of Choplifter III. Control an army helicopter and participate in missions to rescue allies and shoot at enemies.
The choice of the Dustoff 2 look delivers 3D graphics that do not “weigh” on any cell phone. Dustoff 2 even runs on mobile phones with 1GB of RAM.
Isometric pixel graphics in the “Minecraft” style are a lot of fun and some animations make good laughs. Like seeing the enemies fleeing after you blow up their car or tank.
Control different but easy to learn
The Dustoff 2 controls are presented in a short tutorial. The commands are not very common, but in a few seconds, we take the morning of the game. Basically, we only control the helicopter and it shoots automatically.
It may seem a little silly at first, but believe me, as time goes by, you’ll thank the shot for being automatic. In some phases, you must dodge bullets and missiles coming to the hills, and in addition, you must land under enemy fire.
Classic and offline fun
Dustoff 2 (and also the first game Dustoff Heli Rescue) do not ask for connection to the internet. The game has a simple proposal to deliver simple and direct fun. You can even zero the game without using the internet once.
The web connection is presented only as a facilitator. Through it, you’ll earn more coins by displaying ads.
Dustoff 2 reminded me a lot of Choplifter III. An unpretentious game, but a lot of fun. His “spiritual successor” has the same proposal. There are 40 challenging stages that will require all your skill as a rider.
