The tour of the Knives Out producers in Japan has yielded unusual partnerships. After announcing that the director of the Battle Royale movie (which he inspired all over) would contribute to the lore of the game, NetEase confirms a partnership for anime and manga content Attack on Titan.
In August, Knives Out will win clothing and characters taken directly from the anime. Already in September, a new map called “Final Battle of Tokyo (东京 决战)” in Shibuya will be released.
This attack on Japanese content has an explanation. Knives Out was a huge success in the Japanese lands. Much of NetEase’s revenue came from the Japanese App Store. But it would be nice if part of that content came to the West as well.
